Soccer.
I started the day reading a passage for a literature question. I didn't get a chance to do it as I was to be leaving for VivoCity that morning. We weren't shopping because as you know, we've already done so. My mum bought us a soccer ball though. It was a surprise really. She was looking at at bright red ball, considering whether it's worth buying. Sweet! I've pestered her to buy a new ball for don't know how long. Best of all, it's a red Adidas ball! My two cousins and two other siblings played soccer as soon as we reached home. Of course, we did change. We played three against two. I teamed up with my brother and won by a score of 5-3 before we changed the groupings. I wasn't bragging. I was just telling how my soccer "talent" comes once in a while. It does really comes and goes. I paired up with my sister the next "match". It didn't work out well as she wanted me to be the keeper. Sadly, I don't make a good keeper or even anything near good. Furthermore, there was no connection between us. We scored no goal. A moment later, an uncle came. He approached a group of boys to have their normal match I suppose since I see them there almost everyday. Then I saw or rather heard one of the boys requesting to have a match against us(mostly kids). Unfortunately, my brother accepted the offer. Some of them came over our team though. I objected because I know I won't be the "star player" anymore. In fact, I can hardly get the ball. Those boys were amazed what small kids are capable of doing.
Lesson learnt: Don't play with skillful people because they'll ruin your chance to be the "star player". hah.

Los Angeles
I'm finally back from Los Angeles. I wondered how my classmates enjoyed physics 'camp'. Frankly speaking, I wasn't jumping for joy for having the opportunity to skip those lessons I missed. Ohh well I shall not make my life sound so deprived (though I already did).
The trip wasn't really fun. It was merely going where my dad wanted to go. Don't remind me about the journey to and from Los Angeles. It was a NIGHTMARE. I never like that part. Nevertheless, I should say that shopping was the best. I never realised shopping could be so fun until I do so in LA. They have stuffs which cannot be found here. That's the coolest part. I'd be entering every boards shops I come across. I bought whole lot of items with a budget of US$150. I exceeded though and have to pay the extra amount. Not much really. It's approximately S$40. I purchased a bag, a pair of uniquely designed Converse shoes, Hurley T-shirt, trading pins, Crossword game for DS(which got everyone who played it hypnotised) and some souvenirs. I wanted to buy a pair of flip flops, new hoodie and a belt but I'd be exceeding by a huge margin. And oh, boy do I love the brand Hurley.
Sadly, I doubt it's common or even known here in Singapore.
This time, my family and I went Universal Studious Hollywood and Sea world. Yes, Universal Studious is still open despite the fire. They even showed the remains. We didn't go to the Disney theme parks as we thought it's worth buying something else since we've been there twice. Hence, my dad got us an Ipod classic to share. Wooh! It's cheaper there really. He was considering to buy Ipod Touch as well but he only gave us false hope. He also planned to get an Iphone for my sister (intended before we even got there). However, they no longer sell them as the second generation is coming this July when Iphone is just recently launched here in Singapore. Two days of theme parks and six days of shopping. Cool eyy. Ohh yes, I didn't forget to bring along my Math homework. I managed to complete three sets of exam papers only as two of them includes paper 1 and paper 2.
Now, I miss school despite the fact that I have to start mugging as the term starts. No, I didn't miss school for lessons but friends of course. Friends like the Jackson 4 or rather Jackass 4. Haha. Alright then, this is it. I'll try to look for photos if there's any. I keep souvenirs and not photos. =D

Finding Nebo lalalalala
Finally I have something to update about. I've been doing schoolwork and practically nothing hence, I had to post based on random thoughts. I shall share my or rather our experience on The Quest '08. It was by the Nebo club.
First Thing
I woke at 3.30 in the morning just to catch the first train which arrives at 0528. Alyah's dad picked us all up from each of our homes. Wait, who are 'us'? Basically, my team mates are Zhen Qiang, Yi Xuan, Kuan Yong and Alyah of course. It was too early and we needed transport to get to Downtown macs. Fortuntely, Alyah's dad is a kind soul. I think he's cool and I'd be waiting for the sky to drop if I wish my dad was like hers. Anyways, we as we reached downtown, we finally knew that such night life exists. Like what Alyah said in her blog, there were big groups of people roaming around the place at night. They get so much freedom and as you know, it isn't good, kids. You'll get wild. On the way to the MRT station, Yi Xuan did go hyper. Maybe he's not used to being up as early as that. Perhaps is ever so hyper. Sadly, we missed the first train. Oh wells, there was the second train still. The train was quite empty at first but it picked up more passengers as it went from a station to the other. Alyah went on saying "Oh my god, all these people going the Nebo challenge" at each station.
Cathay Open Plaza
Quite a number of groups were there already. We were 2 hours early and so, we spent the time playing ZQ's DS. More groups came as the passed. Finally it was the time to register. We got the passport booklet and our orange The Quest '08(trademark) T-shirts. After changing, we worked out a strategy. One of us said that we have got to have plan B. I added that Plan C was necessary as well and that is to panic. Each of us was busy calling friends for help. Except for me though as I had very little contacts. Alyah even asked her 10 year old brother who had to spell out the answers instead of pronouncing the. It's alright though, at least he could do a little favor. Never did I thought of calling my sister because 1. She wasn't up yet. 2. She rarely do me favors. Those who brought laptops were labelled as smart. But we brought mobile phones. I think that's even more intelligent.
The Start of The adventure
Before The Quest had officially begun, some idiots just couldn't wait. They were idiots as they got disqualified. As you can see, it's rare that you get a disqualified participant before the event starts. Right after the starting horn(it's not a whistle, Alyah) was sounded, everyone literally rushed to the MRT station. They were all screaming like some kind of a mob lynch. We headed to the first checkpoint which was the Lim Bo Seng War Memorial.
Lim Bo Seng War Memorial
The first thing I saw what they call chopsticks monument I thought it was the Lim Bo Seng war Memorial. My bad that it wasn't. It was the War Memorial. Yi Xuan saw a marshall in disguise as he had earpieces on each ear and he stared at us. I started labelling the Bangla who had earpieces on as one of the mashalls. hah. Sorry, I get distracted easily. We headed to the checkpoint then. Everyone except me had to perform a weird activity to get a stamp as only 4 members were required. We got a question wrong for that station. It was a true or false question. It asked whether NTUC had a base of 150 000 members while the answer wrote 155 000. Hey, I think it's actually correct that it's true. I didn't want to argue because all of my team mates thought the same way.
Singapore Botanical Gardens
The task was a killer. Getting to the place itself was a tough challenge. Adding to the misery, we had a group stalking us. They were primary school kids I suppose. We managed to lose them though. We walked from the main gate to the eco-garden. Mind you, it's from one end of the Botanic Gardens and to the other end. What made things worst was the task to be fulfilled. We had to look for three specific plants and there were millions of them. What's more, they all look the same. Approximately an hour later, we completed the task and went on to the next checkpoint. Youth Park.
Youth Park
It started to pour as we were heading towards the third checkpoint. As I find myself out of the MRT station there were groups of skaters looking homeless. They simply couldn't skate in the rain. There was a group of them who kind of stared at me as I walked pass them but I looked away trying to avoid the connection. haha. XD There weren't any groups crowding around the stations and I was surprised. It was kind of to really. The task was to guess the total price of 5 particular items. We came up with approximately $8 at first but our final answer got up to $9. Unfortunately, $8 was a better guess. As we all headed back to the MRT station, the same people stared at me. I seriously don't know what they want. Perhaps to distract me from the game. Next stop, Simei. The beginning of our 'territory'.
Simei
It was simply hilarious that the checkpoint was at the void deck and that was where we saw Mr Singh along with his wife. Being intelligent, we went to Fairprice to search for 5 household products. We went to the checkpoint and guess what the task was. It was to run to Fairprice to get the name of the 5 products. We didn't have to as we went earlier. We trashed the earlier groups mann.
Tampines Mall
This was where we had to perform a 2 minutes cheer. Since 4/8 was the majority in the group, their class cheer was being used just that words had to be changed of course. I didn't mind at all really. We had to look for 3 passer-by to listen to our cheer. The place being extremely crowded, the task was easy. Despite our enthusiasm, we achieved a score of 80%. On second thoughts, it's better than less than 5. Finally, we headed to the last checkpoint, Pasir Ris Park. The place where we know best.
Pasir Ris Park
Being residents of Pasir Ris, we know the buses well. I mean where they go and all that. We took bus no. 359 and walked to the next checkpoint from the Elias Mall bus stop. It was a really long walk I should say. We tried asking iris for assistance but it didn't help. I'm glad Alyah knows iris well now. Not only that she knows it's not a person, she knows what it's for as well. The task given was to piggy-back each other. Everyone has to do at least one lap and we had 25 laps to do. As the lightest, the smallest and the shortest, my team mates all requested to piggy-back me. And I managed to piggy-bag ZQ! woohoo! It's an accomplishment. I didn't let the team down. Despite praising us as being determined and whatnot, the person in charge only minus off 5 minutes from the total time. Minus off more lahh correct? We then walked briskly to the finishing line, SMS-ing iris as we come across each bus stop. We then took a bus ride to the bus stop near my home to get on to bus 3 which was behind the bus we were in. Fortunately, I thought fast. Heyy, it's our 'territory' remember? Someone from a different group heard me saying that it's possible for bus no.3 to reach downtown. Alyah quickly, told them that we were heading Tampines. They got fooled and we were happy. That's a good thing about Alyah. She thinks of necessary lies fast.
The Finishing Line
Little did we know that we have to assemble at the place near D'Marquee. We could have ran through the shortcut. There we waited for the results. We were unlucky that we didn't win any prizes. We didn't go home empty handed either. However, it was a fun experience. The best thing of all was the pleasure I had from my team mates as we didn't quarrel at all. We trusted each other.
The End
Alyah, Yi Xuan and I walked to a the bus stop with lesser crowd and headed towards Central while Yi Xuan went straight home. Alyah bought bubble tea and as per normal, she sent me off at the usual bus stop. I, too, wanted to stay and talk more. However, I had to get myself cleaned and changed to get travel all the way to Bukit Batok. In addition, I couldn't resist not hopping onto the new bus service no. 53. I can act like a child at times. I had to suffer aching and stiffed muscles. This is the longest post I've ever written. I wonder if I can obtain high marks if I were to write this as my English essay. And that's all folks.
